- For thicker sections, bevel to a 60° Vee.
- Align parts to be welded with tacks.
- Preheat thicker sections to 350°F for optimal results.
- Use DC+ (reverse polarity); hold the electrode at a 90° angle to the workpiece.
- Quickly move while maintaining a short arc length; avoid weaving techniques.
- Allow parts to air cool and remove all slag with a stainless steel brush.
- Clean with warm water and a stiff brush upon completion.
